Fixtures for PCBs' testing

    1. Twister

       Workflow optimized rotation fixture
The Twister-Concept is especially developed for tasks where fast handling is essential. Changing the PCB while the test is running on the contact side, the time for handling will be nearly eliminated.
Due to an automatically opening protection cover the twister reaches a perfect ergonomic handling ability that enables the user to work free of fatigue.
A Bi-Level option is implemented as well as the possibility to use it as a clamp shell fixture (top and bottom contacts).
The control is optionally realized by a ready programmed SPC or can be managed by the test system.
The SPC program is available as a standard ready to go solution or in any customized version.
The Twister is designed as a exchangeable cassette system with a special focus on a fast and tool free mounting of the cassettes.
Economically priced cassettes allow the system a short time to amortization . Like all other ATX exchangeable systems the Twister is equipped with robust and long standing sip to nail Interface.
With a pressure force enough for approx. 400 nails (2 N) and an Interface with 400 pins the Twister offers a wide range of possible applications. The possible PCB size varies between 125 x 200 mm and 110 x 225 mm depending on the geometry of the board because the board carrier is a half circle. The pneumatic engine is dimensioned for the rough production environment and a long term use.
The Interface to the test system will be customized for any test system on the market. It is possible to use it as a set on top fixture like any other ICT fixtures or on an carrier as a stand alone solution.

    2. Fixtures with customized vacuum area

A great feature provided by ATX is a vacuum cassette customized to the measurements of the PCB. The advantages are:
Use a fixture for more than one project – it is even possible to add a new PCB to an existing fixture Single, dual or multiple well fixtures
The vacuum free frame allows adding user defined components easily. Add switches, displays or actuation elements and don’t care about sealing.
The smaller nail plate reduces the weight for better handling.
The lower volume of the vacuum area lets the fixture become faster (the vacuum zone is faster to evacuate) and the nails hit harder for better contact.

    3. Top side contacts

Precise top side contacts:
The linear way down of 30 mm allows a conflict free setting of the vacuum box.
The opening angle is 90° – that allows free access to the UUT and makes it easy for the user to change the board.
Variable positions of the gas springs for using the fixture on inclined testers
Floating bed of nails with very accurate bearings

    4. Fine pitch fixture

The fine pitch fixture allows saving the ICT test in the future.
According to the increasing challenges of small grid’s and tiny test pads we can give the adequate answer.
The fine pitch fixture is an add-on for a common fixture.
With angular rigid probes the small grid of the PCB is spread off to a grid that is contactable with usual .0100” nails.
Contact a grid of .024” and test pads with a .016" diameter.
Open sensors and further add-on’s are useable

Change the Cassette easily without any tool necessary.

    5. Vacuum exchangeable cassette system

Change the Cassette easily without any tool necessary.

The interface between the cassette and the base unit is a high quality bed of nails with spring loaded probes. It is created for a long life time and easy to change.
Designed for all common test systems.

Cassette product area:
WK1: 365 mm x 260 mm
WK3: 475 mm x 330 mm
Base unit:
WK2 with 840 interface pins
WK4 with 1300 interface pins

    6. Mechanical exchangeable cassette system

The mechanical cassette system keeps all the advantages of the vacuum system combined with no need of a power media like vacuum or pneumatics.
Handles up to 450 nails. Designed for all common test systems and for custom made functional test systems
Top side contacts are possible. Interface with spring loaded pins

    7. Mechanical stand alone fixture

Low Cost Fixture for functional test and In-System programming – works with up to 200 Nails (2 N) and allows contacting from 3 sides (top, bottom and one side access optionally)
Every plug or connector can be inserted on the backside panel
We provide "ready to go" fixtures or kits for self drilling
For high voltage tasks a contact protected version is available
We provide a dual well version for the smaller product area
